Elevate Business Awards
Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all award nominations, acceptances, award packages, digital assets, trophies, certificates, articles, and related deliverables provided by Elevate Business Awards ("we", "us", "our").
By accepting an award package, making payment, requesting that work commence, or otherwise engaging with our services, the recipient business ("the Client", "you") agrees to be legally bound by these Terms. Acceptance of an award package constitutes a business-to-business service agreement between the Client and Elevate Business Awards.
2. Award Selection & Nomination
Businesses may be identified for an award through our own research, public nominations submitted via our website, industry recognition, online reputation, customer feedback, or other criteria determined at our sole discretion.
Award titles and categories are assigned at our discretion, based on what we believe best reflects the recipient's business, achievements, industry position, and suitability for promotion. We reserve the right to decline, withdraw, or amend any award title or category where we consider it appropriate to do so.
3. Nature of Our Awards
Elevate Business Awards is a recognition and promotional service, not an independently judged competition. We do not rank, compare, or score businesses against one another, and receiving an award from us is not a claim that a business is "the best" in an open contest. Our awards recognise businesses whose customer service, consistency, and quality we believe merit recognition, based on the criteria described in clause 2. Clients should represent their award accurately and should not describe it as the result of a competitive judging process.
4. Award Packages
We currently offer the following packages (prices are one-off and exclude any bespoke add-ons agreed separately in writing):
Full Award Package — £499
• Personalised award logo
• Engraved trophy or plaque
• Digital certificate
• Featured press-release style article
• Social media promotion
Digital Award Package — £199
• Personalised award logo
• Digital certificate
• Listing on our Winners page
Package contents may be updated from time to time; the package description confirmed at the point of acceptance will apply to that order.
5. Acceptance of an Award Package
Acceptance of any award package — whether given verbally, in writing, electronically, by invoice acknowledgement, by email confirmation, or by requesting that work commence — constitutes a binding agreement between the Client and Elevate Business Awards. Upon acceptance, the Client agrees to pay the invoiced amount in full in accordance with these Terms.
6. Cooling-Off Period
Clients have a seven (7) calendar day cooling-off period from the date they formally accept an award package. During this period, the Client may cancel the order in writing (by email to admin@elevatebusinessawards.co.uk) without financial liability, provided that no design work, trophy ordering, article drafting, or other production work has yet commenced.
If the Client asks us to begin work before the seven days have passed, the cooling-off period ends immediately and the invoice becomes payable in full.
7. Commencement of Work & Payment Liability
Once the cooling-off period has ended, or once the Client instructs us to begin work earlier, we may start producing and fulfilling the order. This may include, but is not limited to: personalised logos, digital certificates, trophy or plaque engraving, article writing, social media promotion, and related assets.
Once work has commenced, the Client is liable for payment of the invoice in full, regardless of whether the Client later changes their mind, chooses not to use the assets provided, or promotional activity has not yet been completed. No refunds are given once production or fulfilment work has commenced, except as required by law.
8. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed with us in writing:
• Payment is due in full upon acceptance of the award package.
• Invoices must be settled in cleared funds before we release any trophies, certificates, logos, articles, or other deliverables.
We reserve the right to withhold any deliverables — including trophies, digital assets, certificates, logos, articles, and social media promotion — until payment has been received in full and cleared.
9. Delivery & Turnaround Times
We aim to deliver completed award packages within 2–4 weeks of receiving cleared payment, depending on order volume and, where relevant, trophy engraving and courier lead times. Timescales are estimates and not a guaranteed deadline; we will let the Client know if we expect a delay.
10. Overdue Invoices & Recovery Action
Any invoice not paid within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing, may result in:
• suspension of any outstanding services;
• cancellation of pending promotional activity;
• withdrawal of award recognition;
• referral to debt recovery procedures; and/or
• further recovery action as appropriate.
The Client agrees that we may pursue recovery of unpaid sums through appropriate channels, including debt recovery services and/or the County Court or Small Claims Court, and we reserve the right to recover any reasonable costs incurred in doing so where permitted by law.
11. Intellectual Property
All award assets, graphics, written materials, logos, certificates, articles, and other promotional content we create remain our intellectual property until full payment has been received. Once payment has cleared, the Client may use the delivered assets for their own legitimate business promotion (for example, on their website, social media, email signature, and premises). Clients may not use, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publish unpaid materials without our prior written permission.
12. Promotional Activity
Any stated promotional periods, features, or social media coverage are provided on a reasonable-endeavours basis. We do not guarantee specific reach, engagement levels, lead generation, sales outcomes, search engine rankings, or business growth as a result of our promotional activity. Marketing performance can vary based on industry, audience, timing, platform algorithms, and other factors outside our control.
13. Client Information & Accuracy
The Client is responsible for the accuracy of any information, logos, images, or text they supply to us for use in their certificate, article, or promotional materials. We are not liable for errors that result from inaccurate information provided by the Client, though we will correct genuine mistakes on our part promptly and at no charge.
14. Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Withdraw an Award
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, amend, or withdraw an award where:
• misleading information has been provided to us;
• abusive behaviour occurs towards our team;
• reasonable reputational concerns arise about the business or its conduct;
• payment obligations are not met; or
• continued association could reasonably be expected to negatively affect Elevate Business Awards.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, reputational loss, or consequential damages, including dissatisfaction relating to subjective marketing expectations. Our total liability to the Client in connection with an order will not exceed the amount the Client paid for the relevant package. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
16. Data Protection
We handle personal and business information in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law. Details submitted through our nomination form or during an order are used to process the award, communicate with the Client, and, where relevant, feature the business in our promotional materials as described in these Terms.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our packages or the law. The version published on our website at the time an order is accepted will apply to that order.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
